I made a big leap forward with my Spanish skills working with Liliana. She always gave me “ the why” behind usage and sentence structure. I also developed a new level of confidence in speaking Spanish during my time working with her.

It’s a great pleasure to write a review about Liliana. I am wholeheartedly committed to saying that she is a teacher who truly deserves recognition. As a polyglot who speaks six languages, Liliana brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her teaching. She is intelligent, respectful, committed, funny, responsible, ambitious, professional, and understanding.
Liliana easily adjusts to the different levels of her students, and her easy-going nature makes lessons enjoyable. Thanks to her extensive knowledge of the world, there is always an interesting topic to discuss during our conversations. Our classes feel less like lessons and more like engaging chats with a friend.

I am so lucky I met Lili through a friend who also took her classes. She really tailored the lessons to my needs and my Spanish improved so so much while working with her.

She is friendly and warm and kind and great with people of all ages and backgrounds.

As an elderly student, I didn’t know what to expect from a much younger teacher who had been recommended to me. As it turns out, Liliana surprised me in many ways and is the best Spanish teacher I have ever had. To begin with, she listened to me and heard what I needed and wanted from our lessons. Making me an active participant in learning the language takes a lot of skill and patience on her part, but her know-how and self-confidence in her teaching helps me to trust the process. Giving me adequate time to come up with what I want to express in Spanish is invaluable. Her explanations to correct my errors are clear and without judgement. And the lessons are always positive, informative and pleasant. What has changed for me because of Liliana’s encouragement is a growing enthusiasm for encounters in Spanish whereas before there was reluctance and even dread. I am sincerely grateful and consider Liliana a precious gem of a teacher.

Lili has been giving my son and I weekly Spanish lessons for the past six months and we are both improving due to her well thought out approach, her positive encouragement and fun lesson plans. She is a remarkably person who is able to make adjustments as we go depending on my son’s attention span and capacity on any given day. She is kind and encouraging and dependable. I feel so grateful for her guidance and after many failed attempts to learn Spanish I finally feel like I’m on a path towards functional Spanish and it’s exciting and energizing. I whole heartedly recommend Lili; she’s the best!

I feel so lucky to have found Lili! After a couple of years of daily Duolingo lessons, I realized I had to do something more to reach my dream of being more-or-less competent in Spanish, so I started looking for a tutor. I was anxious about being anxious (which results in my not being able to think of words I actually know when trying to speak), but Lili put me at ease from the start and has been so encouraging. When I’m struggling with certain tenses or word use, she has created specific lessons to help clarify the language rules/concepts. And the lessons are fun, often incorporating education on interesting Mexican history, culture, or traditions. I feel like I’ll eventually reach my goal! What’s more, Lili is such a warm, kind, good-humored person that I look forward to our sessions as if I’m meeting a friend for a cup of tea (or atole)!

Lili is an incredible teacher. She is very knowledgeable about teaching methods but doesn’t only does use exercises, Lili welcomes you to Spanish through her world in Mexico. I’ve learned from discussions about her hometown, customs and traditions, Mexico’s politics, holidays and cuisine as well. Lili is intuitive in her approach and will change a lesson plan as something occurs to her that would be interesting for me based on our discussion that day. For me taking lessons with Lili is more like visiting a friend who cares about me as well as my progress with the language.

As a brand-new language learner, I was nervous about speaking in a new language and remembering vocabulary. Lili was always so very kind and supportive. Her instructional style is clear and she breaks things down to the level where you can be sucessful. She infused my lessons with information about culture, festivals, weather, of different areas of Mexico that made the lessons come alive. I tried several instructors on different platforms before finding Liliana and she was by far my all-time favorite teacher! I can’t wait to see what programs and courses she has to offer on her website!

Lili was an amazing Spanish teacher to me, and she supported me as I prepared my wedding vows. She helped me translate them from English to Spanish and practice them. My husband’s family (all from Mexico) was so impressed with my Spanish, and I am eternally grateful to Lili for helping me have the perfect wedding day. All my love to Lili!
