The school
Cemanahuac is one of the oldest Spanish school (1974) and the 2nd biggest institute in Cuernavaca.
It is well known for the quality of its field study trips to places of historic and cultural interest. Most of the outdoor classes are given in a beautiful "Palapa" (small hut). The school
has great facilities, swimming pool, book library, cafeteria, newspaper, internet access. On top of that, it proposes to learn Spanish in Buenavista de Cuellar as well located 1 hour south from Cuernavaca. This is a marvelous place for all those who wish to experience life in a small traditional Mexican village and for all working with immigrant populations.

The courses
Cemanahuac offers an intensive group course (25 hours / week) including grammar, vocabulary,
conversation, and specific workshops. The program is based on the 5 C's: communication, culture, connection, comparison, and community. As part of the total immersion experience, many "out of
the classroom exercises" are included in the weekly program, with teachers frequently escorting students to a nearby spot (post office, grocery store, restaurant etc.) for the purpose of
vocabulary building. Cemanahuac organises excellent workshops (2 x 2 weeks) in current methodology for Spanish Teachers held in summer time from 29.06 - 26.07.2003.

Free time
Cemanahuac organises weekly art & craft shows at school. All classical excursions are lead by
Cemanahuac's anthropologists.
