It is worthwhile to reserve one full day to visit the National Museum of Anthropology, located in Polanco - Chapultepec Park in Mexico City.  It is one of the best museums in the world.

What might otherwise appear to be diverse cultures, both geographically and chronologically, will be tied together by following the legend of Quetzalcoatl, a changing god of Mesoamerican mythology, who for some was a god, for others a god-person, and was later confused with Hernan Cortés.

This museum is of special interest to students of Prehispanic Mesoamerican and Cultural anthropology.
