Sport fishing in Mexico can be an experience you won't soon forget because of the great abundance of different fish and the generous limits and long seasons set by the Mexican government. For saltwater fishing, practically all popular vacation spots, such as Acapulco, Puerto Vallarta, Manzanillo, Mazatlan, Guaymas, Loreto, La Paz, Cancun, Cozumel, Tampico, Veracruz, and Los Cabos have much improved their facilities in recent years.

Every year several deep-sea fishing tournaments are held, and these are attended by Mexican as well as foreign anglers who come with their famous Rybovich, Hatteras and Bertram boats. The most famous tournaments are held in Los Cabos, Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta and Acapulco. Bass tournaments are held in Tampico, Tamaulipas.  

You can fish in Mexico almost year-round. Marine species are found in almost unlimited quantities along the more than 6,000 miles of coastlines with which Mexico is blessed. Most fishing in Mexico, however, is seasonal.
